Walking My Talk with Confidence and Courage

I’m often asked what I do as a hypnotist. It’s a more complicated question than it seems to be. Last weekend I crossed a big item off my bucket list. It’s something I’ve never done before: I sang in front of people.

It was suggested that I choose an easier song, but I love Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. I could barely hit all the high notes when I first started singing it. After a month of practice, I could hit most of them. I have a new admiration for those who do karaoke when there’s no melody to help you keep the pitch.

It took me a day to get the nerve to watch the video. It was better than I had hoped, but still sounded better in my head! But the quality of the performance isn’t how I measure my success. It was following my soul’s desire and taking inspired action to DO it.

And Saturday, I walked my talk, as that is what I do as a hypnotist. I help people find their confidence and gather the courage to take inspired action. And most importantly, to not care what others think, but to take satisfaction in living their own, unique best life.
