Hypnosis and Practiced Thinking

Practiced thought reaps reality. That’s a quote from me.

You see the brain is an amazing organ. One of the ways it manages the connecting and firing of your 100 billion neurons throughout the day is to form habits. Habits are nothing more than thoughts that you think over and over again until your brain learns to automated. We “think without thinking” as Malcom Gladwell would say.

According to cognitive neuroscientists, we are conscious of only about 5 percent of our cognitive activity, so most of our decisions, actions, emotions, and behavior depends on the 95 percent of brain activity that goes beyond our conscious awareness.

It is our automated thoughts, the thoughts we keep thinking, aka habits or learned behavior, that keep us on autopilot.

FMRI studies have shown that changes made through hypnosis is not just from the placebo effect, but  from neural changes.

If you have behaviors that you don’t like and are in need of a little neural rewiring, give me a call.
