Focus on Solutions

It’s time for your Thursday thought of the week, and I’m just thinking about how much we love to solve problems, because it feels good when we find solutions, doesn’t it?  But here’s the problem about how our mind works.

When we’re in the habit of continually looking for the problem and focusing on the problem, well the problem is all we can see, and it makes it much harder to find the solution.  So, a simple rephrasing about how you’re thinking about things can make all the difference in the world.

Let’s say you have the habit of forgetting where you put your car keys, rather than putting them on the counter and thinking, “Don’t forget where these keys are. Don’t forget where these keys are,” you should think, “I’ll remember where these keys are.” I’ll remember, because that is focusing on what you want. And that will lead you to a solution much quicker.

Think about that over the weekend, I’m Roberta Fernandez, Your Ability Activator!
