What to ask when looking for a hypnosis provider
Here are important criteria you should look for in any hypnotist:
· Be sure the practitioner has taken their practical training at a licensed school, preferably in a live class versus an online program.
· 200 hours of class time should be the minimum hours of training. Ask what kind of hypnosis is practiced – direct suggestion or regression, Ericksonian or
Elman. If they are well-trained in both that’s even better!
· Are they members of a well-established organization that has a code of ethics and standards of practice for their training and for their members?
· Ask if they are required to take continuing education to maintain their certification.
· Research. Research. Research. Remember that anyone can make themselves look like a professional with a good website. Be a responsible consumer and
check them out.
· Ask for a consultation and make sure they are a good fit for you, in philosophy and in personality.
· Ask if they provide a Client Bill of Rights, a document that discloses their office practices and fees, and your rights as a client.
· Ask if they have experience in working with your issue.
· If they promise guaranteed results, pass. They cannot guarantee your success.
