The facilitator of a training I recently attended had us do an exercise I want to share with you. You’ll need a paper and pen. Pause the recording each time you are asked to do something and resume when you are done.
Think of a place or something in your home that you absolutely love… Now write down 3-4 adjectives that describe how you feel about what you’ve selected…
Think of a place or something in your home that you don’t like at all… Now write down 3-4 adjectives that describe how you feel about what you’ve selected…
Write the words “I am” and put the first set of adjectives after it.
Write the words “I am afraid of becoming” and put the second set of adjectives after it.
Your home reflects your life, and my guess is that most of you are having an aha moment right now. Consider how these two sentences fit your life or something you are dealing with. What can you do about that thing you don’t like?
