The Emotional Scale

Last week I talked about an emotional scale and how I strive to stay in the place of satisfaction.

There are many other places you could put yourself. At the bottom, toward fear, you might feel depression, guilt, revenge, and anger.

As you move up, blame, worry, doubt, or disappointment. Even farther up, but still negative, you might feel overwhelmed, impatient, pessimistic or bored.

However, you might notice that each of these layers feel better than the ones closest to fear. What I’d like you to realize is that no matter where you are on this side of the scale, the more you choose to stay in these negative thoughts and feelings, the more of them you will receive.

Moving to the upside side, toward love, you’ll find contentment, satisfaction, hopefulness, and optimism. Enthusiasm and passion follow. And wonderfully you reach, joy, empowerment, appreciation, freedom and love. For me this last grouping is one and the same.

Once again, the more you reach for a higher level, the better you feel, and the more you get of those better feelings.

Remember that one of the basic components that I teach, the first letter in the acronym of FARE, is Focus. What you focus on expands. So, reach for that better feeling thought and focus there, Then, rinse and repeat your way to the top!
