What Does Philadelphia Have to Do with Hypnosis & Pain?

Linda and I are in Philadelphia at a hypnosis pain management training!
I’m Linda Schutz in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and home to more Dunkin’ Donuts than I’ve ever seen anywhere in my life!
You may be wondering what Ben Franklin has to do with hypnosis. It turns out, quite a bit. He was on a committee that was investigating the work of Franz Anton Mesmer, considered the modern-day father of hypnosis. The committee basically determined Mesmer was a quack, but we now know that his ideas behind ‘animal magnetism’ does really hold weight.
Here we are at Jefferson’s house. Thomas Jefferson had a new way to look at freedom for our country, just like we are here to take a pain management class so that we can help you have freedom from the pain in your life.
I bet you are wondering what this has to do with the Liberty Bell, as you know that the Liberty Bell wasn’t rung on at the declaration of our independence. That is a myth. And there are a lot of myths about hypnosis too, and one of them is that you cannot get yourself out of chronic pain. But we know that that too is a myth.
I’m Roberta Fernandez, a Board Certified Hypnotist and Certified Trainer at The FARE Hypnosis Center, helping you take back control by unlocking the power of your mind to reach your goals of any kind.
