A little bit of rational fear keeps you safe. This is a good thing. You pay attention in dark alleys. You don’t swim alone far out in the ocean at night.
Irrational fear is another thing. For some people it’s driving a car on the highway or flying on an airplane. For others it’s a fear of dogs or sleeping in a strange place. And for those watching the news on a regular basis, it could be a fear of nuclear war, government takeovers, or even members of the opposite party. (Is it your neighbor, or even your sibling?)
More and more often, we see clients for fears that have gotten out of hand and for the stress they feel because of it. Fears limit your potential and your enjoyment of life.
